After about 6 months of talking about it, and a year of thinking about it I am glad that my website has gone live. Last year my 3 year old daughters' heart was set on a blue bike with no pedals (not v girly!).
We had seen kids on them in the park so I went hunting for one - there wasn't any to be found in the usual suspect stores, so I took to the internet and found the one I wanted. I wanted one that looked like a real kids bike - i.e. a metal frame and one that had adjustable handle bars and a seat
I couldn't believe it was so difficult to find and that no one in Ireland was selling them online - and here comes my Eureka moment.
The Eureka moment was rubber stamped by a holiday to Italy (Bella Italia, Lake Garda, which I will tell you about again) where every toddler from German, Italy and Holland were whizzing around on their balance bikes - I had to find a distributorship and bring them to Ireland.
I didn't realise there was so much to learn in setting up a business, but learn I did, and very quickly too - domain names, hosting, google analytics, VAT registration, were all in the unknown for me.
But I learned quickly and now I am ready to take on the world (well Ireland for a start) with my Strider Bikes"
